Mohanlal first starred in the 1980 Malayalam romantic movie Manjil Virinja Pookkal as Narendran. He left his Tamil introduction with the 1997 movie Iruvar among the lead roles together with Prakash Raj. He landed a primary top part in Hindi in 2002 together with the movie Business. In 2016, he surfaced in Telugu with the movie Manamantha.
In 1984, he co-produced his very first movie with Casino Films branded Adiyozhukkukal.
