DJ Casper gained fame with his hit track "Cha Cha Slide," which was released 23 years ago this month.

"Cha Cha Slide" led to a widely performed line dance that has become a staple at various events globally.

The song's popularity transcends events such as proms, weddings, and corporate functions, embodying an easy-to-follow dance routine.

DJ Casper's creation aligns with the tradition of Black line dances, akin to the Electric Slide and the Cupid Shuffle.

These line dance traditions find roots in cultural heritage and were showcased on "Soul Train," a platform celebrating Black music and dance well before modern trends emerged.
