In 2010, he caught himself in a weird situation producer Henry leveled charges against him tagging him as “arrogant”. Mammootty was blamed for the failure of the movie Vandae Maatharam. According to the producer, an action scene had to be removed from the movie as Mammootty refused to do a better shot for it. Moreover, an amount of Rs. 20 lacs were lost due to this.
In 2016, Mammootty was again in a controversy when a woman objected to his words in Kasaba, a thriller Malayalam movie on “menstrual cycle”.
