She was born to Ms Sarmishta Basu Prasad and Mr Anuj Prasad on January 11, 1991. Both her parents have a theatre background. Her father, a qualified civil engineer, is also a diploma holder in acting from Shree Ram Centre, New Delhi. Her mother is a musician and writer.
